paseandoportarragona: Antes del siglo III aC existía una población ibera que vivía en la zona de Tarragona denominada Kesse habitada por los Cossetanos. Pero no fue hasta la llegada de los Fenicios, quienes fundaron la ciudad bajo el nombre de Tarcon, que quiere decir ciudadela, en las proximidades del río Tulcis, hoy denominado Río Francolí.
