Groups in support of Catalonia’s September 2010 ban on bullfighting beginning January 2012 hold up placards in front of the Monumental bullring today in Barcelona supporting the decision. Today is the final day of the 2011 season, making it the unofficial end of bullfighting in Catalonia.
The event is being celebrated by those who oppose bullfighting in Catalonia on Twitter by using the hashtag #CatalunyaSenseToros, Catalunya Without Bullfights.
